Week 97: May 7 – 13, 2018

On 8 May 2018, BBM received a Notice from the COMELEC approving the request of the PET to secure Certified True Copies of the Election Returns in the provinces of Camarines Sur, Iloilo & Negros Oriental. The photocopying of these ERs has been scheduled for Wednesday, 16 May 2018 at the COMELEC offices in Intramuros.

On 11 May 2018, BBM received a Notice from the COMELEC allowing protestant Abdusakur Tan to utilize his unused cash deposit to pay for the Technical Examination fees relative to the election protest of Tan vs. Hataman. The COMELEC likewise issued a directive saying that the technical examination involving 167 clustered precincts in the aforementioned election protest be completed within 6 months.

After 97 weeks (or roughly 683 days), the PET:

• has begun the manual recounting of votes for Camarines Sur
[per undertaking # 11 of 21]

After Camarines Sur, the remaining two (2) “pilot province” are Iloilo & Negros Oriental.
