VP bet Sen. Marcos to new voters: Vote for candidates who did the most for country

Vice presidential candidate Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. today advised first time voters to change the country for the better by voting for candidates based on their track record and performance.

Talking to youth voters at the Voters’ Education Forum at Tomas Claudio College in Morong, Rizal, Marcos said they have the immense power to make a difference by choosing candidates based on their performance or rejecting them for lack of it.

“We are approaching an election and let us allow those who vote in the elections to make their own judgments as to who did the most for this country and who had the opportunity to do much for this country but who did not,” he later told reporters in a press briefing held at the same college.

While Marcos did not name any candidate that possesses the best qualifications, he said he was just giving a guide to new voters in making the right judgment.

“I'm asking them to make that judgment as many of them are first time voters. It is a guide for them how to choose the people that they will vote for, how to choose the candidates that they feel will serve the country well,” he said

Marcos was in Rizal province where political kingpins, led by the Ynares family, threw their support to his vice presidential bid and his call for national unity as they declared that their province will forever be a “Marcos country.”

He also thanked the people of Rizal for their overwhelming support to his Unity Caravan. “It was so beautiful. There were a lot of people who went out to welcome me. They were not only saying hello but they were really expressing their support to which I am very thankful and humbled. I won’t disappoint them,” he said.
