THOUSANDS OF PINOY GRAPHIC ARTISTS SUPPORT BBM-SARA UNITEAM

2 March 2022

THOUSANDS of Filipino graphic artists based here and abroad have recently declared their solid support to the candidacies of BBM-Sara UniTeam.

In a manifesto, artists belonging to GRAPOWA (Graphic Arts Filipino Overseas Workers International Inc.), which is one of the largest organizations of graphic artists in the country, expressed their unwavering support for the formidable tandem.

In their manifesto of support, the group stated that it is confident that only Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. and his running-mate Inday Sara Duterte possess the right platform of government and that their call for unity would help attain peace and progress for the country.

“Whereas, we have faith in the leadership and capacity of ex-Senator Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr., and Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio to attain peace for our country through unity and improve the lives of the Filipino people, especially the marginalized and the disadvantaged,” said GRAPOWA in the ‘Manifesto of Support’ sent to the office of Party Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) Secretary General Thompson Lantion.

“We vow therefore to do everything within our power and influence to ensure the victory of the BBM-Sara UniTeam in the coming May 9, 2022 elections,” the group added.

The manifesto was signed by Vicente G. de Asis, founding president; Nilo del Mundo, executive vice-president/corporate secretary; Arturo Marquez, 1st vice-president/treasurer; Almar Madrid, 2nd vice-president/auditor; and Allan Mesina, vice-president/membership.

De Asis said that more than 11,500 members have already committed to support UniTeam from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, as well as those in the Philippines.

In addition, hundreds of Filipino graphic artists based in other Asian countries such as Taiwan and Malaysia have also expressed their support for the UniTeam.

They said that they have long been supporters of Marcos even when he ran as vice-president in 2016.

Talagang BBM kami noon pa,” he added.

When asked why they support BBM-Sara UniTeam, De Asis said they believe in Marcos' talent and dedication to his work.

Currently, they are also sending various campaign materials to help the UniTeam campaign.
