AN organization based in the vote-rich province of Pangasinan has adopted a resolution strongly supporting the presidential bid of former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and the vice-presidential bid of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio in the May 2022 elections.

More than 3,000 coordinators and members of the United Lights of Pangasinan Inc. (Ulopan) expressed their all-out support for the BBM-Sara tandem during the group's annual general assembly at the Ulopan Center in Mangaldan town in Pangasinan on December 18-19.

Emilio De Guzman, businessman and Ulopan president, said the general assembly tackled significant issues that transpired this year, especially the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic. They also tackled the 2022 polls.

"When we discussed the forthcoming 2022 elections, our members were all united in endorsing the tandem of Senator Bongbong Marcos and Mayor Sara Duterte," De Guzman said.

A Securities and Exchange Commission-registered organization, Ulopan was founded by the Presidential Adviser for Northern Luzon, Secretary Raul Lambino, with more than 100,000 card-bearing members in Pangasinan.

De Guzman said Ulopan has already established chapters in different provinces nationwide including the National Capital Region.

Pangasinan Vice Gov. Mark Lambino, Ulopan secretary-general, expressed optimism that the BBM-Sara tandem will continue to deliver growth and development in the country after the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Mark said the Alyansang Guico-Lambino has also signified support to Marcos and Duterte-Carpio.

Running for reelection, Lambino is in tandem with Fifth District Rep. Ramon "Mon-Mon" Guico in the coming 2022 elections.
