A GROUP of officials from Pampanga has expressed support for presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and his running mate Sara Duterte-Carpio.
In a statement released on Monday, Pampanga Third District Rep. Aurelio "Dong" Gonzales Jr. said he and several mayors and other officials in the province have decided to heed and share the tandem's call for unity, hope and patriotism.
"If they get elected, they will have the unparalleled opportunity to unite the country behind the challenges it will continue to face, like the Covid-19 pandemic and soaring fuel and consumer prices," Gonzales said.
He said the UniTeam tandem is in the best position to continue the programs and advocacies of President Rodrigo Duterte, including the Build, Build, Build infrastructure projects nationwide.
Gonzales thanked President Duterte for his support to the district and the province of Pampanga and its constituents.
He said he hopes that Marcos and Duterte-Carpio will be open to his proposal to introduce "meaningful political changes" in the Constitution to help sustain the country's growth.
Gonzales is running unopposed in the race for third district representative.
