"I DON'T believe in overnight success. For me, everything starts from the scratch. With so much wall that needs to break, we can only arrive triumphant with unity," said engineer Grace Bondad Nicolas, also known as the "Queen of Shows" and a multi-hyphenated serial entrepreneur.

Nicolas is the vice president of the Makati Tourism Foundation (MTF) and vice president for external affairs of the Philippine Chambers of Commerce Los Baños.

"It's all about winning and overcoming this pandemic, but don't forget that we can only achieve success due to the super challenges we received throughout the years," she continued.

This engineer believes in supporting President-elect Ferdinand "Bong-Bong" Marcos Jr., especially since the Philippines isn't completely free of the pandemic.

"With the increased mobility in the last few weeks, especially now that we are welcoming more visitors from overseas, we must keep an eye for new Covid variants that are already in the Philippines," she said, referring to the new Omicron subvariants already in the country.

This was confirmed by Department of Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire in a Manila Times interview.

Vergeire said that the first two cases detected in the National Capital Region were considered "index cases" and most likely were undetected previous infections.

As a serial entrepreneur and driving force behind the ultra-successful events experts TAG Media Group, Nicolas knows by heart what economic opening means for businesses big and small.

"The new administration will handle this pandemic and the new president needs all help from the Filipino people," Nicolas affirmed.

"If he will succeed, we all succeed," she concluded.
