Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has dominated another mock poll, this time sweeping all surveys at the five campuses of the University of Caloocan City (UCC).
Marcos surfaced as the runaway winner, garnering 40.15 percent. His closest rival, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, was in second place, getting 31.02 percent.
Senator Alan Cayetano got 9.97 percent; Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo, 9.74 percent; Sen. Antonio Trillanes, 4.19 percent; and Sen. Gregorio Honasan, 1.46 percent.
In the presidential survey, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte topped the same poll with 44.98 percent, Sen. Grace Poe (19.3 percent), Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago (17.6 percent), Vice President Jejomar Binay (12.54 percent) and administration bet Manuel Roxas 2nd (4.09 percent).
UCC has 18,192 students across its five campuses.
Marcos also topped a mock poll conducted by Arellano University among 1,500 respondents in all its six campuses.
He obtained 45.75 percent while Cayetano got 18.76 percent.
They were followed by Escudero at 16.58 percent, Robredo at 11.45 percent, Trillanes at 3.92 percent, Honasan at 1.73 percent and the undecided at 1.871 percent.
Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte topped the presidential survey with 51.85 percent followed by Santiago (18.39 percent), Poe (12.81 percent), Binay (8.59 percent), Roxas (3.77 percent) and undecided (4.6 percent).
Marcos also recently emerged No. 1 in another mock poll conducted by Adamson University in Manila, receiving 46.35 percent.
Marcos’ running mate Santiago was also on top, posting 64.06 percent of the votes out of 1, 524 respondents.
He said it would appear that Santiago’s popularity with the youth sector has an effect on him, explaining his strong showing in mock polls in universities.
“Truly, young students like Senator Santiago. And I am happy because they too support me,” the Ilocano lawmaker noted.
