FORMER senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. will win the presidential race in 2022 without the help of political strategists and tacticians, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) said.

The PFP has endorsed Marcos as its presidential candidate for the 2022 elections. Marcos has yet to announce whether he will be seeking the presidency.

PFP Secretary General Tom Lantion on Thursday said Marcos "holds a deep understanding and experience of the country's entire electoral processes."

"Aside from being a man of decency, he's also a man of action with few words that needs no coaching about the art of winning a political race," Lantion said.

He issued the statement amid queries regarding the absence of well-known political operators working for Marcos' presidential run.

He was referring to presidential contenders who have reportedly hired political handlers that would map out and operate their campaign strategies.

A poll operator who once worked as the chief tactician for former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is said to be working for the tandem of Senators Panfilo "Ping" Lacson and Vicente "Tito" Sotto 3rd.

Another handler who reportedly used to run the campaign of former president Joseph "Erap" Estrada is now with the team of Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso and Willie Ong.

A broadcaster is reportedly handling the media team of Sen. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao.

"Those teams of presidentiables might really need excellent minds to draw and run their propaganda and poll campaign, but not for Bongbong…who only needs dedicated men who can be trusted and who know how to apply common sense," said Lantion.

He described those on board the Marcos team "as unassuming seasoned players whose minds are set solely on the vision of the Bongbong presidency."

Lantion said the name Bongbong Marcos "is similar to a medicine brand that can be bought over the counter even without a doctor's prescription."

"After more than seven decades, the Marcos brand in national politics is still in great demand sans the promotions and advertisement," he said.

The PFP passed a resolution endorsing Marcos as its standard bearer during its recent national convention in Tupi, South Cotabato.
