Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. expressed gratitude to the people of Ilocos Norte for their unwavering support for the programs and projects of the provincial government.
In a speech during the luncheon meeting of nongovernmental organizations of Laoag City on Tuesday at Laoag City Hall, Marcos said the province, particularly the city, owed its progress to the NGOs and the people.
“Lahat ng narating na progreso ng probinsya ay dahil sa pagtutulungan ng mamamayan at pamahalaan at ng mga opisyal. Partikular ditto sa Laoag City, ang asensong nakikita natin ay dahil sa magandang samahan at pagtutulungan ng lahat,” he said.
The meeting was organized by Ilocos Gov. and reelectionist Imee Marcos and Laoag City incumbent mayor and vice mayoralty candidate Michael Farinas.
Marcos called on the people to continue involving themselves in building a better and more progressive province and city as they will be the final beneficiaries of the gains of hardwork and collective industry.
“The NGOs are partners in building a better society. We have done this here in Ilocos Norte and Laoag City, we are still doing it now and we will continue to do it kasama ang lahat ng ating mamamayan,” the senator stressed.
