Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. sent a team composed of his staff to distribute relief goods last August 30, 2013 to flood victims in several barangays in the provinces of Cavite and Laguna.
The relief operations done by the Office of Sen. Marcos were conducted in cooperation with the concerned local officials, who designated the beneficiary families in those areas.
First in the itinerary of the relief mission was Brgy. Poblacion in the town of Kawit, Cavite, where relief packs, consisting of rice, canned goods, noodles, snack packs, as well as bottles of mineral water and medicines like “Lagundi” were distributed to families affected by the floods.
Next step of the team was in Noveleta, Cavite, where relief items were distributed to families of flood victims in Brgy. Poblacion and in Brgy. San Jose 1.
After the distribution of relief goods in Cavite, the staff of Sen. Marcos proceeded to the City of Binan in Laguna, one of the areas devastated by the floods.
Distributed were relief bags to designated recipients in Brgy. Poblacion. The team had to wade through knee-deep water to distribute relief goods to the flood victims in Brgy. Dela Paz.
The relief operations in Laguna were conducted in cooperation with Binan Mayor Marlyn “Len-Len” Alonte-Naguiat and her staff, Brgy. Captains Jayson Souza (Brgy. Poblacion) and Cenon Almazora (Brgy. Dela Paz).
