2 April 2014

Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. will join Pangasinense in their attempt to set a new Guiness World record for the longest barbecue grill in Bayambang, Pangasinan during the “Kalutan ed dalan” on April 4, 2014.

The activity is part of the month-long celebration of Bayambang town’s “Malangsi Fish-tival” and 400th Anniversary, commencing on March 1, 2014 and will culminate on April 6, 2014.

Sen. Bongbong will join mayors and local government officials of other Pangasinan towns, Bayambang townsfolk, and visitors in the “Kalutan ed dalan” where they will set up the longest street barbecue grill in the world in their quest to secure such distinction with the Guinness Word Record.

One of the highlights of the “Malangsi Fish-tival” is the “Farmers Day,” which is an annual event to honor and give recognition to the town’s farmers who were instrumental in earning for Bayambang the recognition as “corn-belt of the Philippines.”
