Sen. Marcos’s 15 bills referred to committees

Fifteen 15 out of the total 36 bills filed by Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. have been referred to the appropriate committees within the first 3 session days of the Senate in the current 16th Congress, which officially opened last Monday (July 22).

The 15 proposed measures are the following:

1. Senate Bill No. 11, “AN ACT AMENDING SECTION 6 OF REPUBLIC ACT 10175 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS AN ACT DEFINING CYBERCRIME, PROVIDING FOR THE PREVENTION, INVESTIGATION AND IMPOSITION OF PENALTIES THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES” (Committee on Science and Technology)

2. Senate Bill No. 12, “AN ACT PROVIDING BARANGAY OFFICIALS, INCLUDING BARANGAY TANODS, MEMBERS OF THE LUPON NG TAGAPAMAYAPA, BARANGAY HEALTH WORKERS AND BARANGAY DAY CARE WORKERS A RETIREMENT BENEFIT” (Committee on Local Government, chaired by Marcos)

3. Senate Bill No. 13, “AN ACT IMPOSING A THREE-YEAR MORATORIUM ON THE CREATION OF NEW STATE UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES AND CONVERSION OR UPGRADING OF EXISTING STATE COLLEGES INTO STATE UNIVERSITIES” (Committee on Education, Arts and Culture, chaired by Sen. Pia Cayetano)
