Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. Talks with Former NEA Administrator Gen. Pedro Dumol (Ret.)
Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr views geographical map presented by NEA Administrator Retired Gen. Pedro Dumol during informal talks about the development of renewable energy in the country. The visit took place at the Senator’s office last Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Seen also in photo is Northwind Power Corp. Chairman Ferdinand Dumlao.
Sen. Marcos, a former Ilocos Norte Governor, played a large part in orchestrating the construction of the windfarm in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, the first of its kind in South-East Asia. Research and development for renewable sources of energy is one of Sen. Marcos’ major advocacies. He has been a long time believer in green technology such as energy harnessed from the wind, abundant and inexhaustible, and unlike fossil fuels, does not require burning which would release harmful gases and other pollutants into the atmosphere.
