Sen. Bongbong Marcos’ opening prayer for the Senate session 2 September 2013

Let us put ourselves in the presence of the Lord.

Dear Lord as we start our regular session today, we, your elected legislators come before You once more to seek Your Divine guidance so that all our thoughts, works and actions shall be in accord with Your Divine will.

Please continue to bring out the best in us, always guided by the truth, inspired by our commitment to dutifully serve our country and our people with utmost integrity, humility and true compassion.

Lord as we ask You all these in humble supplication in Your mighty name, we also come before Thee in humble thanksgiving for all the blessings and graces that You have showered upon us, our families, our staff, and our people.

Our Father God, as we go about our task today, please grant us serenity and calm, always keeping in mind our solemn obligation to our beloved country and most of all, to You Our God, who guides the destinies of our nation and of all nation.

Again Almighty God, we thank You, we praise You, and we offer ourselves to You.
