Sen. Bongbong inaugurates 3 flood protection infrastructure projects worth P25M in Pangasinan
Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos inaugurated on April 4, 2014 three infrastructure projects in Pangasinan, meant to protect the people and property of the province from severe flooding. The projects were constructed through funding assistance provided by the Senator.
First among the projects was the Boulder Bank Protection-Mitura River Control Project in Brgy. Pinmaludpod, Urdaneta, Pangasinan. Sen. Bongbong was welcomed by Urdaneta Mayor Amadeo Perez and former Pangasinan 5th District Rep. Mark Cojuangco.
Sen. Bongbong proceed to the inauguration of the Boulder Bank Protection-Aloragat River Control Project in Brgy. Nalsian,Manaoag Pangasinan, where he was met and assisted by Mayor Kim Mikael DG Amador and other town officials.
Sen. Bongbong also inaugurated the Boulder Bank Protection-Agno River Control Project, in Brgy. Aliwekwek, Lingayen, Pangasinan. Brgy. Chairman David Lomibao and other barangay officials assisted the senator during the simple inauguration rites, thanking him for choosing their barangay as the beneficiary of the project.
The first two projects were constructed at P10 million each, while the third in Aliwekwek cost P5 million, for a total of P25 million for the three flood-control projects.
Apart from inaugurating the three infrastructure projects, Sen. Bongbong also turned over a multicab to Brgy. Chairman Domingo Aquino of Brgy. Emarcadero in Mangaldan, Pangasinan.
Sen. Bongbong conducted the inauguration of these projects on his way to Bayambang town of Pangasinan ,as guest of honor in the Kalutan ed Dalan. The town’s bid to earn a spot in the Guinness World Book of Records for the longest barbeque grill in the world coincided with the celebration of the town’s 400th year founding anniversary and its 5th “Malangsi Fishtival.”
