Marcos to gov’t: Stop blame game
They (government) fumble, grope cluelessly, and finally some semblance of a sensible approach to the Sabah conflict, which is what we said from day one and that is, first and foremost, to protect our citizens as best we can.
After taking this long to realize it, they now go into their “default response,” which is to look for someone to blame and they choose President Marcos, dead for more than 20 years.
After threatening to arrest the followers of the Sultan of Sabah, file charges against members of the Kiram family, agreeing with the Malaysian government that the Tausugs were terrorists, and not lifting a finger when the Malaysian armed forces bombarded them from the air and the ground, they accuse Marcos of having “complete disregard for Moro lives.” That is an insult to the intelligence of the Muslims in Mindanao.
This pattern of looking for scapegoats instead of solutions is clear to most and it seems it’s what they know how to do best. The problem is it is of no help to the country.
