Marcos Receives Warm Welcome from Tarlacquenos
FOR Ilocos Norte representative and senatorial candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. public service knows no political colors.
“The advocacies that I am pushing for are for the good of everyone regardless of political affiliation,” said Marcos during his recent visit at the Tarlac City Hall .
Marcos received a warm welcome from supporters and even the government employees wearing yellow to commemorate the birthday of the late former president Corazon C. Aquino.
He also got warm reception when he paid a courtesy visit to Tarlac governor Victor A. Yap at the provincial capitol.
Marcos delivered a brief message during the launching of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs) and the mass oath taking of its members at the Tarlac State University Gymnasium.
He noted the importance of the local government unit in the fight against crime.
“Being a former local chief executive myself, I know that the national government is not doing a good job in the area of peace and order. That’s why the LGUs need to step up and play a lead role in peacekeeping,” Marcos said.
