Every March 26 is now special working public holiday in Cebu

Starting this year, Cebuanos can celebrate March 26 as a “special working public holiday.”

Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr., chairman of the Senate local government committee, sponsored the passage in the Senate of the proposed holiday (House Bill 3459), which became Republic Act 10359 when President Aquino signed it into a law on January 9.

RA 10359 declares March 26 of very year as a special working public holiday in the province of Cebu to commemorate the historic liberation of the province from Japanese occupation during World War II.
