Ambush Interview at the Office of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.
Reporter – Sir you seemed jolly?
So buhay ang kaso and it continues. Ipaglalaban pa rin natin hanggang mapunta sa lahat ng ebidensiya na nais naming ipakita sa tribunal. Nabigyan kami ng pagkakataon na ipakita lahat ng ebidensiya namin. But the net result of today’s en banc decision is that tuloy ang kaso. Hindi dinismiss yung kaso ko.
Reporter – So sir despite the delay, it is still favorable to you?
BBM – Of course. Good result. Good result.
Reporter – Sir hindi ba frustrating that it’s already three years?
BBM – Of course it is frustrating pero what are you going to do? You have to trust the wisdom of our justices. Atsaka the case is complicated. It is the first time any Presidential protest arrived to this stage in the protest. Maybe after all these, kailangan balikan natin ang sistema natin ng pagprotesta. The whole electoral system. Tignan natin para mas maging maayos. It is not advantageous to our electoral system, our voters, our political system, the entire state that we wait for this long on an important decision. But nonetheless, that was what happened the last three years. What happened today is, the case goes on and we will go from strength to strength.
Reporter – Sir brief message to your supporters?
BBM – Oh my god I cannot thank them enough. Kaya’t pag nakikita ko sila, lagi ako nagpapasalamat. At hindi siguro umabot ang lakas ng loob namin ng ganito katagal kung wala sila diyan kaya’t thank you very much for you support at ito ngang ipinaglaban ninyo at ipinaglalaban natin ay maipagpatuloy natin at binigyan tayo ng pagkakataon ng PET na ipagpatuloy ang laban natin.
Reporter – Sir pero di ba kayo frustrated?
BBM – Frustrated. Dahil kung ako lang eh two days after ako nagfile ng protest tapos na eh. Siyempre, and every additional day is a little bit more frustrating but again, we abide by the system.
Reporter – So sir do you feel you are being robbed of your term?
BBM – Yes, definitely. By conducting the cheating in the election, they robbed the proper Vice-President who won the election, myself, from the three years of service. So, yes.
Reporter – May message po kayo sa kabilang camp kay VP Leni Robredo?
BBM – Ah I talk to them through my lawyers, not through the press. Ok? Sige guys that’s it. Thank you.
