Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos lauded the local government in Baguio City on Sunday (Nov. 22, 2015) for providing FREE Wifi for the residents and tourists in Burnham Park in Baguio City.
Marcos said the services will be enabling everyone to stay connected while enjoying the park’s amenities.
The senator was the guest of honour during the inauguration at the Rose Garden in Burnham Park, Baguio City last Friday where joined Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The network project entailed the deployment of eight (8) Wifi hotspots strategically located throughout the park. It also aims to improve the visitor’s overall experience of Baguio.
With its 5-G Wifi capability, the access points allowed park users to connect to the internet at the faster speed. Up to 2,400 simultaneous park users can enjoy this free service.
The event marked the first phase of free Wifi spots planned around the City of Baguio — bringing it closer to the city’s vision of connectivity towards productivity, Marcos noted.
