Politikos from the so-called ‘Solid North’ have urged former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. to run for presidency in the 2022 national elections.
Solid North members, which are mostly composed of mayors, congressmen and governors from North Luzon, have expressed their support in case the former president’s son decides to run.
Isabela Gov. Rodito Albano, who serves as leader of the coalition, and Narvacan town mayor Chavit Singson, met over the weekend with Marcos along with more than 30 lawmakers from the upper regions of Luzon.
The party has assured to back up the Politiko, saying they can command block votes in Ilocandia and neighboring provinces.
