UniTeam senatorial candidate Harry Roque said the dismissal of the disqualification cases against presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is already expected.
“Gaya po ng inaasahan, mababasura po ito ng Comelec,” said Roque, a former spokesperson of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Roque said the decision of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) First Division was a triumph of democracy.
Roque said that those who filed the petition have a shallow knowledge of the law.
Talaga naman pong ibabasura ‘yan,” he added.
The petitioners were seeking the disqualification of Marcos from the presidential race in connection with his conviction over the non-filing of income tax returns from 1982 to 1985.
