The 2022 presidential race is shaping up to be a heated and tight race among potential contenders, with a survey reportedly commissioned by Lakas- CMD showing Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte dislodged from the top spot by former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong Marcos.
Based on the survey shared by abogado Larry Gadon, Marcos now leads the race of potential presidential bets with 24 percent voter preference. He’s followed by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno with 20 percent and Sara at 18 percent.
In fourth place is Vice President Leni Robredo with 12 percent, followed by Senator Panfilo Lacson with 5 percent and Senator Manny Pacquiao with 4 percent.
Senator Bong Go ranked seventh with 3 percent voter preference, followed by Senator Grace Poe with 2 percent and Taguig Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano with 1 percent.
The survey was conducted online nationwide in urban areas with respondents from the A, B, C and D socioeconomic classes.
A scrutiny of the survey shows the presidential race is still fluid, and the number of undecided voters has gone up.
Marcos’ gain supposedly coincides with the decline in Duterte’s numbers, while the dip in Moreno’s numbers from the survey in May was due to the gains recorded by Robredo and Lacson.
There’s also a decline in the percentages for Pacquiao and Poe.
