Former Biliran Representative Glenn Chong said Vice President Leni Robredo should have just asked where he got the leaks concerning the audit of logs of Ragay town, Camarines Sur.

“I find it amusing why she had to resort to a more lengthy process when she could have just simply asked me how I got it,” read the comment he filed before the Supreme Court (SC), sitting as Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET).

Chong filed the comment in response the Robredo’s motion asking the PET leaked by Chong during a Senate hearing on electoral reforms.

Robredo pointed out that Chong is not a party to the electoral protest of former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. even though he had been the lawyer of the former lawmaker.

“Contrary to what they are insinuating, I did not get the data from her opponent,” Chong assured.

“The Ragay data was given to me by former Camarines Sur 3rd District Representative Luis R. Villafuerte who has a similar protest covering the same precincts,” he disclosed.

Chong told the PET that since 2010 has been “a consistent and vocal crusader against the shenanigans that have plagued our election system.”

“The urgent motion filed by Mrs. Robredo is meant to silence me and prevent our people from knowing the truth,” he said.

Chong became a resource person during the hearings and gave a comprehensive account of the alleged methods employed by Smartmatic and Commission on Elections (Comelec) in rigging the elections.
