VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) -- The office here of the Commission on Elections (Comelect) conducted Friday (May 28) a demonstration of the salient features of the Mobile Registration Form Application with members of the local media.
According to Provincial Election Officer Atty. Neil Canicula, the activity sought to facilitate the conduct of continuing registration of voters while dispensing the need for internet connectivity and the use of laptops and/or desktops with the mobile phone.
Canicula said that it is also the agency’s response to the ongoing pandemic, which he said gave rise to a need to innovate in order to enhance voter registration and comply with the new normal.
The Mobile Registration Form App may be shared bia bluetooth using the SHAREit app that can be downloaded from Google Playstore. The App is compatible with Android phones only. To download, open your browser; enter the URL bit.ly/MobileFormApp in the address bar; tap the “Download” button; run the “Mobile Registration Form Application 1.apk” after downloading by tapping it. If prompted to install from unknown sources, tap “Allow unknown apps to be installed; and then tap “Install.”
Effective May 10, 2021, voter’s registration and issuance of voter’s certification are from Mondays to Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (PIA5/Catanduanes)
