Former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr., brought his "Pasasalamat Tour" to Mandaluyong City where he thanked City Hall officials led by Mayor Menchie Abalos, her husband former Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos, father-in-law, former Commission on Elections Chairman Benjamin Abalos and city residents for their overwhelming support to his Vice Presidential bid in the last elections.
Senator Marcos won by more than 27,000 votes in Mandaluyong City over his closest rival.
Senator Marcos vowed to continue his public service saying it is the only way he could repay the tremendous trust and confidence the people have been giving him. He said, “Para sa akin na isang nagseserbisyo sa publiko wala nang mas malaking karangalang kundi ang magbigay ng pag-asa at sa abot kaya kong tulong para masuklian ko ang napakahalagang tiwala ng mga mamamayan. Ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa inyong lahat. Asahan ninyo na hindi kayo mabibigo sa pagbibigay ng tiwala sa akin dahil patuloy pa rin ang aking pagsisilbi sa inyo, sa sambayanang Pilipino.”
Senator Marcos is currently going around the country to personally thank those who helped him during the recent the May elections.
