The presidential and vice presidential tandem of Senators Miriam Defensor Santiago and Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. will soon hit the campaign trail.
This was bared today by Marcos on the sidelines of his Unity Caravan in Las Pinas saying they are in the process of scheduling a sortie with his presidential partner sometime next week.
“Meron kaming pinaplano. I think we will have a joint appearance. Wala pang mga details so far but we will announce it as soon we have it,” Marcos said.
The tandem were last seen together during the launching of the Youth for Miriam Movement at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig City on February 15.
Santiago also did not attend the second debate in Cebu City as she was undergoing clinical trial for a new anti-cancer drug.
Marcos conceded that given the health condition of Santiago, they really did not plan to campaign together at all times. He also said it would also be practical for them to campaign separately to cover more areas.
