Marcos pushes for more infra, agri dev’t for Mindanao

BUTUAN CITY- Senatorial bet Ferdinand ‘ Bongbong’ Marcos would push for more infrastructures and agricultural development to have economic activites in Mindanao as he vowed to be his top priority legislations if he could grabbed a seat at the senate in 2010 elections.

Marcos, a three-term Ilocos Norte representative, told media men at Caraga State University in Ampayon here that infrastructure developments would includes school building, irrigation , power generation and farm to market roads.

“Ito ay sinimulan ng aking ama at gusto kung ipagpatuloy para magkaroon ng economic activity” the only son of former President Ferdinana Marcos said.

Marcos claimed the agriculture sector had been neglected for a long time that resulted for continued slow production. Instead of supporting the agriculture, he said, the present administration used almost all the departments for corruption.

Marcos together other senatoriable under the Nationalista Party (NP) led by presidential bet Sen. Manuel Villar was in Butuan City for a two-day campaign sorties in key cities of Caraga region that started yesterday.

Marcos also batted to continue the peace process to resolve the armed conflict in Mindanao citing to review the Tripoli agreement signed during his father’s leadership.

“As starting point ng peace process ay pwede nating pag-aralan muli yong Tripoli kung anong parte na pwede pa nating gamitin”, Marcos said.
