Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo will administer the oath of President-elect Bongbong Marcos on June 30, 2022.

This was confirmed to reporters Friday, June 3 by lawyer Vic Rodriguez, the designated executive secretary of the incoming Marcos administration.

“We shall abide by the tradition, the Supreme Court Chief Justice, the Hon. Alexander Gesmundo,” Rodriguez said when asked who will administer Marcos’s oath of office.

Gesmundo has been the top magistrate in the country since April 5, 2021. He replaced former Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta.

On Thursday, the Marcos camp announced that the historic National Museum would be the site of June 30 inauguration.
