The results of the Pulse Asia survey on the 2022 presidential race is an indication that former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is a sure winner, with the rest of the hopefuls contesting only the second place finisher.

Kilusang Bagong Lipunan senatorial aspirant Larry Gadon said Vice President Leni Robredo and Aksyon Demokratiko’s Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso are in tightly racing for second although the election is still five months away.

Gadon said Robredo and her propaganda team made a wrong evaluation of the numbers released by the Pulse Asia survey when they claimed that the fight for the presidency has narrowed between her and Marcos.

“Mali na naman ang pagbasa ni Leni ng kanyang mga numero kahit inayudahan pa ng kanyang abogadong si Barry Gutierrez. (Leni misread her numbers, with her lawyer Barry Gutierrez supporting it.)” said Gadon.

Based on his own analysis, Gadon said “clearly, the presidential trial poll by Pulse Asia conducted between Dec. 1 and Dec. 6, 2021 showed that BBM is a sure winner with at least 53 percent respondents’ preference; while Leni scored 20 percent and Isko got an 8 percent.” “Therefore, next year’s presidential derby is a fight between Leni and Isko for the second place because of the proximity of their survey numbers,” he stated.

He pointed out that Isko’s 8 percent needs only 12 percent to catch up Leni’s 20 percent survey rating, while BBM’s 53 percent is “far and and away.” Actually, Gadon may have committed a mistake as the PUlse Asia survey indicated a tie in the third place between Domagoso and Sen. Manny Pacquiao, PROMDI’s bet for the presidency.

Pacquiao, like Domagoso, received eight percent of the vote of the respondents.

Gadon said Gutierrez’s “unbridled and unfounded optimism is baseless.” “How in the world can you say that somebody who is tailing the leader of the pack by overwhelming numbers could be in a position to challenge, much less be in a so-called showdown. That’s simply preposterous. He must be in another world,” Gadon stressed.
