Commission on Elections Spokesman James Jimenez revealed that the Local Source Code Review Committee is recommending extension of the review period.
This, he said is in case there are interested parties and groups who want to review again.
“For now, we have until January 31 at the De La Salle University,” said Jimenez.
According to the poll official, 66 individuals representing 19 separate entities are participating in the local source code review which started in October.
As to the findings, Jimenez said there have been no significant findings raised by the reviewers.
“So far, there have yet to be any findings that we can call material or significant with the operation of our source code… having any malcode, so far, there has been none,” he said.
“The findings are more on things that would be nice to have or suggestions on how to do things in a different way,” added Jimenez.
Based on Republic Act No. 9369, the commission shall “promptly make the source code available and open to any interested party or group, which may conduct their own review.”
