The main characters of the longest regime in Philippine history converged at the Manila Polo Club on Wednesday to vouch their support to Bongbong Marcos in the coming national elections.
“There are three kinds of people in the world. There are people who make things happen, watch things happen, and wonder what happens,” said Philippine Constitution Association (PHILCONSA) president and former justice Manuel “Lolong” Lazaro. “The people gathered here are those who make things happen.”
And they all want to make Bongbong the top vote-getter in the senatorial race.
“Our collective goal is to make Bongbong the No. 1 senator this election,” said Lazaro, who hosted the gathering. “Let’s make that happen.”
Former first lady Imelda R. Marcos was also in attendance.
She held back tears when she addressed the ministers, deputy ministers, generals and loyal supporters of the late president Ferdinand Marcos, Sr.
Bongbong treasured the effort of his old man’s men.
“I know everyone of you have busy schedules and active lives. For you to find time to show support for my candidacy is very moving,” Bongbong said.
But they need more to hit their target.
Bongbong reminded them of that with words of wisdom from his father. “Politics is a game of addition,” he said.
His supporters promised to multiply.
