Featured-Image-Journal-OnlineThe participation of the world’s leaders in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting in Manila despite the terrorist attacks in Paris, France indicates their strong confidence in the Philippines’ capability to host the event.

Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. made the observation as he expressed confidence that the Economic Leaders Meeting will leave a “positive impression” of the Philippines in the eyes of the world.

“We will show to the world that the Philippines is ready, that we have what it takes to be a world-class host. Let’s go, Philippines!” said Marcos.

He rallied the Filipinos to show their best as the country hosts APEC a year-long series of economic meetings among countries around the Pacific Rim, culminating with the Economic Leaders’ Meeting from November 18-19, 2015 in Manila.

“It’s our time to shine! Let’s showcase to the world the renowned talent and creativity of Filipinos and legendary hospitality as we host this historic event,” said Marcos.

He noted that from the First Senior Officials’ Meeting held in Clark and Zambales to the Small and Medium Enterprise ministerial meeting held in Iloilo to date, the Philippine government “left no stone unturned to ensure the safe, productive and comfortable stay for our guests.”
