FORMER Senator Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr. yesterday signed a joint manifestation by him and Leni Robredo to speed up the recount of ballots for the first three provinces where massive fraud for the 2016 vice presidential race occurred.

The only thing left is for Robredo to sign the document so the manual recount to be undertaken by Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) can start to prove the former senator’s allegations that he was robbed of the victory last elections.

It can be recalled that Marcos challenged Robredo to withdraw all the motions she filed before the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) to be able to immediately proceed with the recount in the provinces of Camarines Sur, Iloilo and Negros Oriental.

It was stated in the joint manifestation, which will be filed by Marcos before the PET tomorrow morning if Robredo signs it, that they and their lawyers are withdrawing any and all motions that may unduly delay or hamper the revision proceedings in the above-entitled election protest.

Both the protestant and protestee further commit to refrain from filing any motion that will unwarrantedly interrupt, defer, postpone, suspend, delay, prolong or impede the conduct of the revision proceedings in this case.

“Na ang nasabing joint manifestation na ito ay inihahain ng magkabilabg panig upang tulungan ang PET na magampanan ang mando nitong makamit ang patas at makatarungang pagresolba sa protesta ni Marcos laban kay Robredo,” according to the motion signed by the former senator and which awaits the signature of the proclaimed vice president.

The former senator earlier bared “solid and incontrovertible” evidence of massive fraud that transpired during the May 2016 elections.

In a press briefing, Marcos presented photocopies of several “shocking” and “highly questionable ballot images from Camarines Sur and Negros Oriental, which formed part of the pilot provinces in his election protest.

He stated that they have discovered numerous evidence of poll fraud on the printed ballot images after they secured some of the soft copies of the ballot images from the PET from some of the clustered precincts in several towns in their two pilot areas, namely, Camarines Sur and Negros Oriental.
