ILOILO CITY — Iloilo City Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon formally endorsed the presidential bid of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Ganzon, who is running for his second term as the city’s vice mayor, said he believes in Marcos’ brand of leadership.
His running mate, Mayor Jerry Treñas, supports the candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo.
Ganzon said he respects Treñas’ decision to support Robredo.
Treñas, who was a vocal supporter of Robredo and the latter’s running mate Francis Pangilinan, has yet to release a statement about Ganzon’s formal endorsement of Marcos.
Robredo won with a large margin in Iloilo against Marcos, Jr. in the 2016 vice presidential race.
