Presidential aspirant and former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is in isolation after being exposed to at least two COVID-positive individuals, his spokesperson said Friday.
According to Attorney Victor Rodriguez on Friday, Marcos was initially exposed to his chief security who is now staying at a quarantine facility.
Rodriguez, who has tested positive for COVID-19, said Marcos was also exposed to him.
"Bongbong Marcos was initially exposed to his chief security, who is confined in one of the isolation/quarantine facilities since last Tuesday and subsequently to me," Rodriguez said in a Viber message.
"I was tested yesterday morning and the result came out early today and I'm positive for COVID," he added.
Marcos was unable to attend, even via Zoom, in the hearing on the three disqualification cases filed against him before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Friday.
