Senator Ferdinand Marcos has rallied the people in various towns in Ilocos Norte to vote straight for the candidates of the “One Ilocos Norte” team, lead by his sister, Governor Imee Marcos, and his mother Ilocos Norte 2nd District Representative Imelda Romualdez Marcos.
Accompanying Gov. Imee and other members of her “One Ilocos Norte” ticket in barangay meetings several Ilocos Norte towns, Marcos stressed the utmost importance of unity and teamwork of elected government officials as a crucial factor in ensuring the continuing progress and development of the province.
Marcos said that as the Ilocos Norte people had done during the time of his father, Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, voters in the province should vote straight for the “One Ilocos Norte” team candidates that he and his sister are endorsing.
“Kaya pagdating ng Mayo 13, alam na ninyo ang gagawin ninyo,” he said.
He said that voting straight for the “One Ilocos Norte” team bets would prevent political wrangling among elected officials, which could jeopardize whatever gains the province have made during his stint as governor of the province and continued during the time of his sister Imee.
In the opening salvo of two-day campaign blitz, Senator Marcos accompanied his sister, Gov. Imee Marcos, and candidates in the provincial and municipal level in barangay meetings in Laoag City and the towns of Pinili, Paoay, and San Nicolas.
For the second day, the senator and the “One Ilocos Norte” team are scheduled to conduct similar barangay meetings in the towns of Pagudpud, Bangui, Pasuquin and Vintar.
