Vice presidential candidate Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos today expressed hope that he will get the support of One Cebu after it broke its ties with United Nationalist Alliance of Vice President Jejomar Binay.
In an ambush interview on the sidelines of his Unity Caravan in Olongapo City, Marcos said he remains friends with the Garcias who lead One Cebu and with the split, he is hopeful that he would get their support.
“Well lagi naman kaming nag-uusap ng mga Garcia kasi kaibigan ko naman sila at nabalitaan ko nga na umalis na sila sa coalition pero hindi pa nila sinasabi kung sino ang susuportahan nila at sana since supportive naman sila, sila ay susuporta sa aking kampanya,” he said.
He said the support of the Garcias would boost anyone’s campaign because of the influence they carry in the vote-rich Cebu Province.
“Malaking bagay talaga ang One Cebu at very significant ang numbers na dala nila. Malaki talaga at malaking bagay ang kanilang suporta,” Marcos said.
