BBM to hold miting de avance with millions of OFWs from 35 countries

MILLIONS of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from 35 different countries around the world are expected to participate in the miting de avance of presidential frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr., on April 1.

According to Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) secretary general Thompson Lantion, for the first time in the country’s political history, there will be a large-scale and comprehensive miting de avance for OFWs initiated by a presidential poll leader.

It will be held at 6:00 pm this Friday (Philippine time) where Marcos will meet fellow OFWs who work or now live overseas.

Saidah Tabao Pukunum, chairperson of PFP-OFW International Affairs, said there are 10 million Filipinos living or working abroad.

Of the said number, 1.7 million are registered voters who will be part of the absentee voting that will take place from April 10 to May 9 elections in the Philippines.

“Marami po ito dahil iyong hindi makakasali sa zoom ay puwedeng makapanood via Facebook,” said Pukunum.

Marcos will be staying at the Hilton Hotel in Resorts World and there he will be able to meet OFWs via zoom.

There will be a short but meaningful program where OFWs will hear Marcos' government platforms not only for the Philippines but also for the modern- day heroes working abroad, as well as for the sake of their families.

Some of the countries with huge number of OFWs expected to attend the meeting are from Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Brunei, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Cambodia, Taiwan, Turkey, Cyprus, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Moscow, Armenia, Spain.

United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar, Jeddah, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Israel, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Canada, Chile and many more.

According to Jeremy Harry Amar, president of PFP-OFW International Affairs, apart from the 35 countries with OFWs, most of them are also in various states, provinces or regions.

Just like the seven emirates in UAE like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Um Al Quwain, Sharjah, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimai.

Also attending are from Rome and Milan in Italy; Jeddah and Riyadh of the KSA, other states in the United States and provinces in Canada such as Winnipeg, Vancouver, Toronto and many others.

Aside from Marcos, the OFWs will also be fortunate to interact with his running-mate Inday Sara Duterte and other senators of the BBM-Sara UniTeam during the meeting.

MILYON-MILYONG Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) mula sa 35 iba-ibang bansa sa mundo ang inaasahang sasali sa miting de avance ni presidential frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr., sa darating na April 1.

Ayon kay Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) secretary general Thompson Lantion, kauna-unahang mangyayari sa kasaysayan ng pulitika sa bansa na magkakaroon ng malakihang miting de avance ang isang presidential frontrunner para sa mga OFWs.

Gaganapin ito dakong alas-6:00 ng hapon ngayong Biyernes (sa Pilipinas) kung saan ay makakasalamuha ni Marcos ang mga kababayang OFWs na nagtatrabaho o nakatira na ngayon sa abroad.

Sinabi ni Saidah Tabao Pukunum, chairperson ng PFP-OFW International Affairs, aabot sa 10 milyon OFWs ang nasa loob at labas ng bansa ngayon.

Ang 1.7 milyon na bilang nito ay mga registered voters na magiging bahagi ng ‘absentee voting’ na magaganap umpisa sa April 10 hanggang May 9 elections sa Pilipinas.

“Marami po ito dahil iyong hindi makakasali sa zoom ay puwedeng makapanood via Facebook,” sabi pa ni Pukunum.

Si Marcos ay mananatili sa isang lugar sa Hilton Hotel sa Resorts World at doon niya makakadaupang palad via zoom ang mga kababayang OFWs.

Magkakaroon ng isang maikli ngunit makabuluhang programa kung saan maririnig ng mga OFW’s ang mga plata porma de gobyerno ni Marcos.

Inaasahang kabilang sa mga plataporma na ilalatag ni Marcos ay ang mga plano niya para sa mga bayaning kababayan na nagtatrabaho sa labas ng bansa, gayundin ang para sa kapakanan ng kanilang pamilya.

Ilan sa mga bansang may OFWs na inaasahang dadalo sa ‘miting de avance’ ay mula sa Thailand, Vietnam, Hongkong, Macau, Singapore, Brunei, Japan, New Zeland, Australia, Cambodia, Taiwan, Turkey, Cyprus, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Moscow, Armenia, Spain.

United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar, Jeddah, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Israel, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Canada, Chile at marami pang iba.

Ayon kay Jeremy Harry Amar, presidente ng PFP-OFW International Affairs, bukod sa 35 bansa na may OFWs, karamihan sa mga ito ay nasa iba-iba ring states, probinsiya o rehiyon.

Tulad na lamang ang pitong emirates ng UAE sa Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Um Al Quwain, Sharjah, Fujairah at Ras Al Khaimai.

Gayundin ang Rome at Milan sa Italy; Jeddah at Riyadh ng KSA, ang iba pang states sa bansang Amerika at mga probinsya naman sa Canada tulad ng Winnipeg, Vancouver, Toronto at marami pang iba.

Maliban kay Marcos, makakadaupang palad din ng mga OFWs ang running-mate nitong si Inday Sara Duterte at iba pang senatoriables ng BBM-Sara UniTeam.
