Press Releases
13 December 2021

THE BBM-Sara UniTeam of presidential aspirant Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos, Jr. and vice-presidential aspirant Sara Duterte fortified their lead in the latest result of an independent and non-commissioned election survey conducted by PUBLiCUS Asia Inc.

In the 2021 PAHAYAG 4th quarter result that was culled from a nationwide sampling of 1,500 respondents who were randomly drawn from a market research panel of Filipino voters from December 6-10, Marcos increased his lead from 49.3 to 51.9 percent, while Duterte maintained her lead over other vice-presidential hopefuls with her 54.8 percent score.

"Over half of respondents tagged Bongbong Marcos as their preferred choice for president. Approximately 55 percent of respondents indicated Sara Duterte as their preferred choice for vice president," Publicus said.

Marcos Jr. gained more than two percent from the previous survey, while Duterte's number went up dramatically and secured her the lead in the vice-presidential race after the BBM-Sara UniTeam was forged and sealed.

"Her (Duterte) entry into the vice-presidential race broke the three-way tie for first place observed in the third quarter survey," the survey firm added.

At far second in the presidential race is Leni Robredo, who dropped from her previous 21.3 percent to 20.2 percent, followed by Manila Mayor Isko Domagoso Moreno, who garnered 7.9 percent, Sen. Bong Go, with 3.9 percent, Sen. Panfilo Lacson, 3.4 percent, Sen. Manny Pacquiao, 2.3 percent, while at least 8.3 percent said they are still undecided.

If the elections were to be held today, Duterte would dominate the race as her next pursuer is Dr. Willie Ong, with 11.2 percent, followed by Sen. Vicente Sotto III, with 11.0 percent, Sen. Francis Pangilinan, 9.7 percent, and Rep Lito Atienza, 1.5 percent. At least 9.5 percent of the respondents were still undecided on who to vote for vice-president.

Marcos was an overwhelming favorite in Mindanao with 62.0 percent, followed by Northern Central Luzon, 59.1 percent, Visayas, 48.9 percent, Southern Luzon, 43.5 percent, and National Capital Region, with 39.7 percent.

Duterte, on the other hand, also lorded it in Mindanao as shown by her 78.6 percent preference, Visayas, 58.8 percent, Northern Central Luzon, 52 percent; Southern Luzon 39.9 percent; and NCR 33.9 percent.
