BARMM governors, local leaders assure BBM of landslide victory; vow to protect his votes

WITH barely 16 days left before the fast-approaching May 9 elections,  local chief executives, including governors, mayors and traditional leaders of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) have assured presidential frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr., of landslide victory in their regiom even as they also vowed to protect his votes.

In a simple program Friday night at the Manila Hotel, the local officials of BARMM also signed an oath of commitment to show their full support for Marcos and his running mate Inday Sara Duterte.

With their command votes, the local officials assured that the majority of the almost two million voting population of BARMM will give the landslide victory to Marcos and Duterte in Mindanao.

“We the governors, mayors, and traditional leaders of BARMM, commit ourselves to fervently, strongly, and firmly support the unifying leadership and candidacy of Marcos for the position of president of the Republic of the Philippines, and Duterte for the position of vice president of the Republic of the Philippines” the pledge of commitment said.

“We commit to protect the will of the people and safeguard the victory of Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr., and Mayor Inday Sara Duterte as president and vice president  of the Republic of the Philippines,” it added.

Present during the ceremony were governors from Maguindanao, Sulu, Lanao del Sur, Tawi-Tawi and their mayors and traditional leaders.

Also present were local officials from Basilan, and Cotabato.

For his part, Sulu Gov. Abdusakur Tan, assured Marcos of more than 80 percent of the 420, 000 voters in their province.

“Pangako ko sa kanya (Marcos) mahina na ang 80% na boto sa buong probinsya kasi wala kaming kalaban. Ang probinsya namin 420, 000 registered voters halos wala kaming kalaban lahat. Ako, anak ko, vice governor, congressman, dalawang congressman, mayor, walang kalaban“ Tan assured.

The local chief executives also assured Marcos that they will protect the votes of Marcos in their respective provinces.

“Sigurado pong poportektahan natin ang boto ni BBM sa BARMM,” said Gov. Suharto Ten Mangudadatu, of Sultan Kudarat.

“Hindi na mangyayari na gamitin ang Maguindanao, na gamitin ang probinsya namin para mandaya. Handa kaming protektahan ang inyong boto dito sa Maguindanao,” said Maguindanao Gov. Bai Miriam Mangudadatu.

Marcos thanked the officials of BARMM as he assured them that all the priority programs of his government will be inclusive and  give preference to Mindanao.

“It is important to show that the idea of ‘pagkakaisa’ the idea of ‘unity’ is not only a campaign slogan, it is a cause, it is something that we truly believe. And with your acts, with your actions tonight in coming together, yourselves, in coming together with the UniTeam is a big manifestation that we have the right message that this unity is in fact what we need in this time of crisis, in this time of difficulty that the Philippines is going through,” said Marcos in his speech.

“Thank you again for your support, but I am also, as for, all of you, kung maipanalo natin ito kailangan ko ng tulong ninyong lahat. I need the help, I need your wisdom, I need your advice and because of that you can rest assure that you will always have an ear who will listen to you. You will always have an open door to which you can go,” he added.

MAY 16 na araw na lamang bago ang halalan sa Mayo 9, siniguro ng mga local chief executives, kabilang ang mga governor, mayor at traditional leader sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), ang landslide victory ni presidential frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr., sa kanilang rehiyon.

Kasabay ito ng kanilang pangako na poprotektahan din nila ang boto niya at hindi sila papayag na madaya siya sa kanilang mga lugar.

Sa isang simpleng programa nitong Biyernes ng gabi sa Manila Hotel, lumagda ang mga opisyal ng BARMM ng isang oath of commitment para ipakita ang kanilang solidong suporta kay Marcos at running mate nito na si Inday Sara Duterte.

Bitbit ang kanilang command votes, siniguro ng mga opisyal na karamihan sa halos dalawang milyong botante sa BARMM ay magbibigay ng siguradong panalo kina Marcos at Duterte sa Mindanao.

Nandoon din ang iba pang lokal na opisyal ng Basilan, at Cotabato.

Ayon naman kay Sulu Gov. Abdusakur Tan, nakasisiguro siya na kaya nilang ibigay ang mahigit 80 porsyento na boto mula sa kanilang 420, 000 na botante sa probinsya.

Personal namang pinasalamatan ni Marcos ang mga lider ng BARMM kasabay ng paniniguro na makikinabang ang Mindanao sa lahat ng priority program ng pamahalaan sakaling maluklok sila sa pwesto sa Mayo 9.
