A historical event happened after supporters of UniTeam Presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and Vice Presidential bet Sara ‘Inday’ Duterte met at the country’s longest bridge to show their strength last Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
The “salubong” or merging of north and south was held on the San Juanico bridge, the famous bridge connecting the province of Leyte and Samar, symbolic of the unity of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao behind the BBM-Sara UniTeam and in the common belief that the duo’s unifying leadership shall usher in national unity, peace and progress.
The entire stretch of the famous bridge was virtually painted red and green as thousands of supporters, who sported red and green T-shirts, showed up in a magnificent display of unity and strength.
Marcos Jr. said the historic joining of forces of supporters of BBM-Sara UniTeam signals the victory of the country against the challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic as he held that ‘only together as a unified nation shall Filipinos be victorious during and after the pandemic’ as expressed in his famous quote, “sama-sama tayong babangon muli.”
The remarkable event also signals the continuity and enhancement of legacy programs initiated under President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s administration.
Ako from North at si Inday Sara from the South at nagkita dito sa Eastern Samar," he said.
The duo consistently tops all formal (methodological) and random man-on-the-street surveys like the Kalye Survey series in the country where they enjoy outstanding lead.
The 2,200 meters San Juanico bridge is part of the Pan-Philippine Highway project of former President Ferdinand Marcos and was dedicated to his wife, Imelda Marcos, who is a well-known Waraynon.
Presidential Aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and Vice Presidential aspirant Inday Sara Duterte lead the ‘Uniteam Rally’ at San Juanico bridge on Tuesday, November 30, during the symbolic “salubong” where thousands of supporters from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao attended to show their strong support for the unifying tandem.
Presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. speaks before thousands of BBM- Sara UniTeam supporters at Tacloban City Hall on Tuesday, November 30, expressing deep gratitude for giving him and his running mate Vice Presidential bet Inday Sara Duterte a warm welcome in the province and for heeding the call of the BBM-Sara UniTeam towards national unity, peace and progress.
Ako from North at si Inday Sara from the South at nagkita dito sa Eastern Samar," pahayag ni Marcos Jr.
